An Offer for Ophthalmologists in France

An ophthalmologist center in Marseille wants to hire one ophthalmologist to work full-time in a modern environment. The work is conducted in the southeast of France, in Marseille and/or Toulon area.

The salary will depend on the individual – i.e., how much experience they have, how long they’ve been a specialist, their competencies, etc. Depending on these factors, net salary can be anywhere between 10.000 € and 20.000 € monthly.

The ophthalmologist will receive help from orthoptists, nurses, a medical assistant, a secretary, and other employees.

Job Requirements

Candidates must:

  • Specialize in ophthalmology
  • Have a general medical diploma and a specialist diploma from an EU university
  • Have EU nationality

Unfortunately, the employer is currently hiring only doctors with an EU diploma. Also, both diplomas must be issued by an institution from the EU. So, even if you have a specialist diploma from the EU, but a basic medical diploma outside the EU, you won’t be an acceptable candidate.

Candidates also must be willing to learn French since most French people don’t speak English, and doctors are required to communicate in French. Despite that, it is not necessary to know French prior to your visit and employment.

The employer covers all costs related to the language course. Future employees can take it online or in person in France. The employer is flexible and is looking for a person motivated to work with them.
